2022 Marketing & Communications Intern, Annie Weiss

Environmental Tillage System (ETS) is excited to welcome University of Wisconsin - La Crosse student, Annie Weiss, as one of the Marketing and Communications summer interns. This fall, Annie will begin her senior year majoring in Communication and Media Studies with a minor in Legal Studies.

Annie Weiss, 2022 Marketing Intern
As a native of a small town in central Wisconsin, Annie Weiss grew up in a community surrounded by the agriculture industry. Even though she wasn't directly involved in production agriculture, she has found an appreciation for the industry and wants to learn more about what the SoilWarrior could do.

Now, more than ever, I believe that it is important to inform ourselves on how we get our food from the ground to our plates. I have been surrounded by agriculture my whole life, so having the opportunity to emerge myself within the industry is something that I am thrilled to do,” Annie said. “I believe that ETS will give me the opportunity to develop my communication and marketing skills, and learn more about the agriculture industry. I believe working hands-on is the best way to learn, and ETS will give me the opportunities to grow."

Adding Annie to the team will help out the marketing team during a busy summer. "We’re excited to have Annie on our marketing team for the next four months," said ETS Marketing Director, Caitlin Keck. “Annie’s skills in event planning and content development will be highly beneficial to our team as we support dozens of events from July through September and build out the content for our website and social media channels."

Throughout her summer at ETS, Annie will participate in event planning, traveling to different farms, social media content creation, and photography, and she'll attend shows across the Midwest to support our sales team.

I am most excited to travel and meet new people, develop new skills, and apply what I have learned in school to this internship," said Annie. "My goals are to learn how to successfully run multiple social media accounts, develop my photography and videography skills, and learn how to write stories for articles.”

As of now, Annie hopes to take on a career in journalism. "I love to write and the process of telling a story. I don’t know what area of journalism I want to move into, but the dream would always be to work for a prestigious news company," she said.

Annie will return to the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse this fall as a senior. She keeps herself involved on campus as being an Eagle Guide to welcome and help first-year students onto campus, and as the Vice President of Communications of her sorority, Alpha Xi Delta. If she's not busy with sorority things, you can find her spending time with friends, photo editing, singing in the car, or listening to some good podcasts.

Great to have you here, Annie!
