SALES ENGINEER

ETS is seeking a Sales Engineer to assist the sales team and production team in creating a seamless ordering process.

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Sales Engineer will work with the sales team to ensure sales quotes are built to the customer’s needs and are approved and submitted to the production team. He or she will be the main contact between the sales team and the production team. The position is based at ETS headquarters in Faribault, Minnesota, with some travel required.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Communicate with the sales team to understand consumer demands and offer sales support where necessary.
  • Secure orders, guarantee product standards and assure product delivery.
  • Plan for modifications to products to meet consumer demands.
  • Identifying areas for improvement and communicating these issues as well as possible solutions to upper management.
  • Partner with the sales team and production team to plan, prepare and execute strategic deals in complex sales cycles.
  • Build strong relationships with sales and production teams. 


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Agriculture sales experience 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Precise attention to detail.
  • Advanced organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree. Agriculture-related preferred.

JUNIOR PRODUCTION PLANNER

 

ETS is looking for a Junior Production Planner who will create, modify, and manage production jobs in coordination with the Production Planner.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

 The Junior Production Planner will create, modify, and manage production jobs in coordination with the Production Planner. The Junior Production Planner’s responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, regularly providing production status updates to management, and facilitating the timely delivery of products to other production areas. The candidate will closely monitor the production process to ensure that jobs are completed on time.

Knowledge of material requirements planning and the ability to manage production deadlines is a must. Junior Production Planner should demonstrate excellent time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills to ensure that production operations run smoothly.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan jobs in support of the production schedule and ensure that they are assigned to the appropriate production areas.
  • Print and compile jobs and distribute them to the production areas.
  • Process subcontract jobs.
  • Track jobs through production areas.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time.
  • Expediting jobs if needed.
  • Promptly informing the relevant production areas of changes to current production schedules.
  • Verify inventory when questions arise.
  • Weekly cycle count of raw materials.
  • Back up to Supply Chain.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of manufacturing planning experience.
  • ERP system experience including MRP.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Accuracy with attention to details.
  • Excel experience.

QUALITY ENGINEER

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The quality engineer's responsibilities include creating quality control processes and procedures, designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes, and products, developing quality control systems, and determining corrective actions. You will also work with managers and supervisors to implement quality measures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Quality engineering support for manufacturing. Develop inspection requirements; facilitate PFMEAs; resolve discrepant material issues and create and maintain quality documents such as control plans and inspection plans.
  • Analyze data and identify improvement opportunities. Data will be the results of statistics, sampling and process capability studies.
  • Work with engineering and manufacturing to implement effective inspection and control plans for new product development.
  • Ability to make suggestions for better manufacturing processes/procedures/order of operations to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Act as the quality interface for a production team in responding to internal and external customer complaints using failure analysis, development of corrective and preventative actions and trend analysis.
  • Conduct audits, including closing out audit findings, create audit finding reports and determine proper corrective and preventative actions.
  • Perform incoming part inspections as they arrive from vendors to identify any non-conformances.
  • Knowledge and ability to use appropriate measuring devices.
  • Identify and procure proper QC tools/measuring devices/gages and maintain that equipment via cleaning, storage, and periodic calibration.
  • Develop quality check lists for production/final assembly and oversee the proper use of those check lists.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with production, supply chain, vendors, and engineering to point out areas of concern and non-conformance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree in: mechanical, industrial or other engineering or physical science.
  • 3 + years of experience with quality assurance within machining and/or manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Blueprint reading and GD&T expertise.
  • Operation of inspection equipment.
  • Statistical expertise with DOE and capability studies.
  • Office systems software -word processing, spreadsheets.
  • Understanding and knowledge of manufacturing practices.
  • CAD experience would be preferred but not required.
  • Must have a good understanding of sheet metal fabrication.

PRODUCTION POSITIONS

POSITIONS AVAILABLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking individuals to fulfill a combination of these production roles depending on the seasonality of the business and the production cycle.

 

Assembly Technician – assemble parts while maintaining quality workmanship.

  • Independently carry out general assembly procedures and work by assembly instruction sheets.
  • Assemble subassemblies or parts of subassemblies to the main machine being worked on.
  • Check and double-check work and correct any assembly problems.
  • Assist in planning assembly procedures and administering the completion of a machine.
  • Conduct final functional tests to verify that the assembled unit operates properly and that it is of high quality.
  • Read and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Keep work area neat, clean, and orderly.
  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.

 

Welder/Fabricator – weld metal parts together using specified wire welding processes.

  • Knowledge of the welding process and equipment.
  • Fabricate metal products in an efficient manner to maximize production.
  • Operate equipment in a safe manner and report hazards associated with the equipment or its operators to the Manager or Safety Director.
  • Produce strong penetrated welds that are smooth, non-porous, and consistent.
  • Follow required procedures and use appropriate jigs and fixtures to assist in the assembly process.
  • Communicate effectively with other workers to help direct personal workflow.
  • Weld vertical, flat, and overhead welds with good penetration and a quality appearance.
  • Operate plasma cutter, acetylene torch, and other metal fabrication tools.
  • Math skills including fractions and angles.
  • Physical ability to work and weld in awkward positions such as kneeling, lying down, and overhead.
  • Operate various shop tools including power and manually operated wrenches.
  • Ability to use fork trucks, overhead cranes, power tools, wrenches, levels, etc.
  • Adhere to Assembly, Materials, and accounting record-keeping practices by promptly and accurately logging pertinent information.

 

Paint Lead – specialize in powder coating materials for production.

  • Perform appropriate surface preparations to ensure proper adhesion.
  • Utilize safe work practices including the use of proper PPE.
  • Operate and maintain processing equipment (spray guns, hoses, etc.).
  • Proper use of ovens and other drying techniques, including curing temperatures and procedures.
  • Utilize safe methods of handling material, including chemicals, required in all aspects of the process.
  • Perform proper masking techniques necessary to meet requirements.
  • Understanding of various cleaning and pre-treatment processes and their effects on parts.
  • Proper maintenance, setup, use, and cleaning of equipment required to perform required processes.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Self-motivated, detailed, well organized, and a team player.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to read and understand instructions
  • High school diploma
  • Some technical training preferred
  • Prior manufacturing experience
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs on a frequent basis
