Continue to learn more about the SoilWarrior.

  • Do I need RTK?
    • You don’t need RTK, but it can be helpful on hills and staying on the strip when planting.
  • How soon after I strip-till can I plant?
    • A good rule of thumb is 24-72 hours. It depends on the crop, fertilizer type and rate, soil type and conditions, and other factors.  However, many people plant into a zone on the same day.
  • Can strip-till get rid of my compaction?
    • It won’t immediately eliminate compaction, but over time increased soil health will impact compaction through increased biological activity, larger and more pore spaces for air and water, greater nutrient availability increasing root health and the roots ability to penetrate soil layers.
  • Can you strip-till when the soil is wet?
    • If you can’t/shouldn’t run conventional tillage equipment, we don’t recommend running the SoilWarrior.
  • Can I VRT my nutrients?
    • Yes, all SoilWarrior systems come VRT-ready and will apply the fertilizer according to your prescriptions.
  •  Does strip-till work with cover crops?
    • Yes, the lead coulter cuts right through the cover crops in live or terminated stands.  The SoilWarrior also has the ability to seed cover crops during your tillage pass eliminating a further trip over the field.
  • What is better, fall or spring strips?
  • How easy is it to get part since you are so far away?
    • You can order parts direct from the factory and pick them up, or have them shipped, from MN.  Additionally, we have parts stocked across the Midwest with our local service technicians so parts can also be obtained from the location nearest you.   “ Well, actually, I get better service from them than I typically do from my dealers uptown. They’re just amazing.“- SoilWarrior owner Ryan Shaw, Marlette, MI
  • Can I apply dry and liquid fertilizer?
    • Yes! You can apply and VRT multiple dry or liquid fertilizers or both types at once if you wish.
  • Will my strip wash out?
    • We recommend a coulter row unit, not a shank, to help prevent washing.  The 3-coulter tillage method leaves more tilled soil to absorb water than a shank.  Coulters do not create a “path” at the bottom of the strip like a shank can which could potentially gather water and become a point where washing might occur.
  •  What makes it better than other strip-till units?
