Members of the ETS team are frequent guests on the Ag Ph. D. Radio show.  The following episode is related to the topic of Spring Tillage.  

For spring tillage, Eric Moore says what he pays attention to is what the farmer is trying to accomplish and says it is important to make a good seed bed, create a nutrient rich zone, and make a warm area in the soil. If deep fall tillage is used it is important to incorporate a two pass strip-till program and follow with seed bed preparation in the spring. Eric also focuses in on compaction.
