Improving Seed Emergence

Members of the ETS team are frequent guests on the Ag Ph. D. Radio show.  The following episodes are related to the topic of Improving Seed Emergence.

Eric Moore tells farmers the importance of uniform soil structure so there is a complete and continuous soil contact to allow seeds to take in moisture at the same rate, germinate at the same time, and there is uniform emergence allowing plants equal access to sunlight and nutrients. Eric’s key message is to make sure your strip-till implement gives you the best seed bed and do not be afraid to come back in the spring to freshen your zones if needed.
