Eric Moore talks about how important strip-till equipment is because it creates the seed bed, gives opportunity to get a proper stand established, and for crop nutrient uptake. There should be a combination of both shallow and deep placement to focus on getting roots nutrients in both the beginning and later. We can impact a plant’s drought tolerance by managing compaction, or fertility placement. Eric also compares strip-till to other tillage systems.
