Eric Moore recommends pulling samples from strips by taking randomized cores from many different locations. Eric also talks about fertilizer application in wider bands is his favorite way for fertilizer distribution. Having a moderate concentration of nutrients to not overdo it, but still offer enough is Eric’s recommendation. “The key is to watch your soil temperature as you go into the fall”.
